About the Founder

Kc didn’t stumble into the trades. She grew up in a family where weekends were spent building, fixing, and making things. “We could make that” was a common phrase in her home. Her favorite places were her grandpa’s workshop and a makeshift tree house in the backyard.

Her parents taught her how to think through problems and find practical solutions. Her grandpa taught her how to use tools with care, patience, and respect. That foundation still shapes how she works today.

Kc is the founder of She Can Fix That™, a professional handywoman business serving homeowners in the western suburbs of Chicago. Built entirely through word-of-mouth referrals, this robust business has grown into a trusted local operation and now includes a developing apprentice program.

Driven by a desire to support both homeowners and her peers in the trades, Kc launched She Can Home Pros™ in 2026 to make it easier for skilled professionals and homeowners to find each other — and to create more sustainable pathways in the home services industry.

About She Can Home Pros™

After building She Can Fix That™ and spending years working in  homes, Kc began hearing the same frustrations again and again — from homeowners struggling to find reliable help, and from skilled professionals who felt overlooked or undervalued.

Too often, quality work and professionalism were getting lost in crowded marketplaces and race-to-the-bottom referrals.

She Can Home Pros was built to create something better.

The directory is designed to raise the standard for home services — making it easier for homeowners to find professionals they can trust, and helping skilled tradespeople gain visibility, opportunity, and long-term sustainability.

The focus is simple: skill, respect, and quality work come first.

What started as a handywoman business has grown into a broader effort to strengthen the industry, support peers, and build a more professional, respectful home services ecosystem — rooted in community and built to last.
